Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons

This song is excellent. A lot different from what you here on the radio. His voice is great and his accent makes it perfect. The lyrics are witty and intelligent. They do use a cuss word in the chorus. (the f word). But, it is excellent and definitely good if your looking for something different. I really enjoy the instruments in this song.
The music video isn't very good. They are all just standing around singing and playing their instruments, not very exciting.
Song gets 5 stars. One of my new favorites.

Stays Four The Same by The Ready Set

This is a really good song and is less repetitive than Love Like Woe. Both songs are good but this one is lyrically better. I really enjoy The Ready Sets music. It has a great beat and is electro but not too much.
I really like when he says, "The price to pay is so, so high./And the irony could be cut with a knife." I think this is a really cool lyric and matches well with the mood of the song.
3.5 stars. Good, but I don't love it...... yet.

Outside My Window by Sarah Buxton

This song is very good especially when your feeling down or just want something fresh and fun to listen to. This song sounds like Summer and will bring a smile to country lovers faces.
Sarah says"(You) still need stars when you're wishin' at night/A best friend to set you right, a good laugh, a warm bath/And a beautiful song you can sing along to/Good news that'll make you cry/All the little things that money cant buy/No wars, no more, just a big rainbow outside my window." I really like this verse which is the chorus. I think people forget the great things in the world sometimes.
I will definitely be checking out more music by Sarah Buxton and will be adding this to my YouTube favorites. 4 stars for Outside My Window.

The One That Got Away by Katy Perry from the Teenage Dream album

The One That Got Away is a very relatable song because almost everyone has fallen in love with someone who leaves. But, she also talks about how it would be if they were together. She also sings about how he was the one she was wanting to be with forever but has moved on.
Katy says, "can't replace you with a million rings." I really like this lyric because it shows that she wanted to marry this man. But, he got away..... (name title!)
I really love this song so, 5 stars. It has a pop beat with more of a story behind it. Katy Perry once again impresses me.

Not That Far Away by Jennette McCurdy

Jennette McCurdy is a talented actress and singer! She keeps her two lives separate though. Her music career doesn't collide with her acting career. This is different from most teen stars who are on channels like Nickelodeon and Disney. Those people have talent but Jennette was willing to take a leap and not get famous for her music from her TV show, iCarly.
The song Not That Far Away is about leaving home to start off your future. She talks about her mother and how she will be okay on her own.
This song is really inspiring. Definitely worth hearing. It's country with a little bit of a pop edge. 4.5 stars for this great song.

The Only Exception by Paramore

The Only Exception is an amazing song. It is a true love song that kind of tells the struggles someones taken on the road to love. The only problem with this song is it is a little repetitive. That doesn't bother me but many people dislike that.
The bridge in this song is my favorite because it has really well written lyrics. I am definitely a Paramore fan after this song. One of my favorite verses is "maybe i know somewhere/ deep in my soul/ that love never lasts/and we've got to find other ways/ to make it alone/keep a straight face/and I've always lived like this, keeping a comfortable distance/and up until now i had sworn to myself that I'm content with loneliness/because none of it was ever worth the risk." I find this really inspiring when you tie it in with the rest of the song.
4.5 stars for The Only Exception. It would be a 5 if people didn't mind the repetitive ending.

We R Who We R by Ke$ha

We R Who We R is different from most of Ke$ha's chart topping hits. It is less about getting drunk or having sex. It's more about knowing who you are. (Hints the name!) In her song she does this thing with some of the words that I don't like. It's kinda like a scratched record. But, the sound kinda grew on me.
The lyrics are a lot more thought through and are very good. Ke$ha definitely gets 4 stars for this great song. Definitely good for partying and to blast in your car. Ke$ha will once again have a nation wide hit if I'm right.
